About Me

I love Animals! Especially reptiles. I have grown up with them my whole life. I just recently moved to Spain from England.
My Dad Luke was the man that started my love for reptiles. He has 25years experience with keeping and breeding exotic reptiles particularly Venomous snakes. He has such species as King Cobras, Black Mambas, numerous Rattle Snakes and many more different Cobras including the extreamly rare Water Cobra. Not forgetting the two beautiful Chinese Alligators. He has also breed reptiles for the pet trade particularly Lizards such as Chameleons, Geckos, Iguanas, Bearded Dragons etc.

He then went on to study, develope and breed the most nutrious food for his reptiles, Yellow Desert Locusts (Schistocerca gregaria).

Unlike the more commonly available 'Brown' migratory locust (Locusta migratoria), which is the only Locust currently available in Spain .Captive desert locusts are fed on cabbage as opposed to grass.
Cabbage is a naturally high source of Beta-carotene. This means desert locust are gut loaded with this vitamin source, vitamin A is absolutely essential for all captive reptiles practically lizards and turtles.A small deficiency of which can cause severe eye problems.

Additionally farmed desert locusts are bright yellow in colour which often attracts difficult feeders. Desert Locusts are soft bodied and they are easier for lizards to crush.
They are non-aggressive in nature and don't bite lizards in defence or attack, which may happen with other live food.

I am now continuing the family business in Spain. With the interest in Reptiles booming Spain is rapidly catching up with Europe's leaders in the Herpological scene England, Germany, France and Holland. Reptiles are becoming the perfect pets, many are small and easy to look after, more infomation is available making them not just for the specialist keepers. People are now discovering their beauty and amazing characteristics.

We not only have available the perfect Yellow Desert Locust. There is also the Silent Brown Cricket , Black Crickets, all sizes for Meal Worms and Wax worms too. Your one stop live food shop!

Don't forget this is also very great for those of you keeping Birds, Small mammals, Fish, Spiders ect.
