For over three years he has advised businesses in the area and he has supplied the added value that prospective clients are looking for. Sure, the bookkeeping, quarterly accounts submission and end of year filing is a basic service that is provided. The problem is that a number of clients although they wish to ensure that they comply with Spanish legislation, they also and probably more importantly want to know how their businesses are performing. Armed with this information they make the business decisions that are so vital in the well being of their companies and ensuring profitability, further growth and a competitive advantage over other companies in their sector.

Not only is Andy Mackow a dual qualified chartered accountant with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Institute of Credit Management (ICM), but he was also awarded CIMAs prestigious Practicing Certificate to practice worldwide within local legislation and is the only person holding this right in Europe. He also has many years of experience working with International Accounting Standards (IAS) which has facilitated his geographical move.

Also, through his time in the area he has made many contacts with similarly minded professionals and works closely with Spanish Gestorias and International Law firms. Through this network he has expanded the services and type of advice on offer over and above his own particular specialities.


With over 17 years experience of both public practice and the private sector, he has returned to public practice and now heads Andalucian Business Solutions SL, which has a steady growth plan in order to expand and increase the offerings available to his clients.

The clients represent a broad cross section of the types of businesses present in Andalucia, ranging from the self employed to SL companies. Personal taxation (Both UK and Spanish) is also catered for, especially during the Spanish tax return period of April to June.

Whether the assignment is ongoing or a one off project, for two hours, five days, weeks or months all business is important to us.

All initial consultations are without fee and are handled by Andy Mackow himself in order to assess the needs of the client and to agree the services to be provided to the client. All new business is initiated with both Andalucian Business Services SL and the client signing a Terms of Business agreement which outlines the relationship between the two parties.

Fees are dependant on the complexity of the assignment and duration. Assignments may take place either at the clients premises or at the practice office during normal office hours, or outside office hours such as evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This choice is totally dependant on the clients preference.
