Consumers report irregularities in shops . The original price must also be indicated

Junta de Andalucía inspectors have been out in force this week, along with the shoppers keen to pick up a bargain in the January sales. The inspectors will be visiting a total of 650 establishments to make sure that they are sticking to the rules.
Irregularities which have been reported include shops which put the “Sales” sign up although less than half of their stock is reduced in price, shops which pile sales goods and regular priced goods together, without indicating which is which, and shops which usually offer a full refund on exchange items but refuse to do so once the sales have started, or will only give vouchers instead of cash refunds.
Shops are obliged to indicate the pre-sale price on all reduced items so that shoppers know how much they are saving, and they should not put items from previous years, or lower quality goods, in the sales of current stock. Nor should they refuse to accept credit card payments for sales items, or charge commission for credit card use.
