    Business profiles management

Recently we made a change to simplify business profile management. You no longer have to log in as business to manage business profile, instead you will be able to access all management facilities on business profile as long as your personal profile is registered as business profile owner.

To request this, please PM or email Christian.

If you don't have personal profile please register yourself and then contact Christian.

If you have any questions, please post in this thread.

    Re: Business profiles management

    Hi Andrey,

A quick question for you... is there a way of adding skype to my business profile? I have tried adding the coding from the Skype website using my Skype ID... it shows the graphic but does not link to call me on Skype so I have now removed the coding. I have managed to get it to work on my myspace page and my own business website so I am wondering why it doesnt work on here.

Your help would be much appreciated as it has proved to be a great tool for clients to contact me.

    Regards
    Paul

    Hi Paul,

You should be able to add Skype link or button but javascript is not allowed. It will work if the user have Skype installed. PM me if you need more help.

    Re: Business profiles management

Hi Guys, It may be useful if you could post the instructions on how to get Skype on profiles so other members of our community can implement it, I am sure it would go down well.

I am currently writing a spec to bring more functionality to YourMarbella.com iwithin the next month or so. I am also going to write a post asking the community what they want to see on YourMarbella, so please feel free to post away........

    Cheers

    C

    Hi Andrey,

I am a little confused. I have my personal profile and I have two businesses - one of my own (Hair) and Marbella Nannies with someone else. I have already set them up  on yourmarbella but I cant get in to edit them.

Can I edit them both from my personal profile page ? Do I have to register them again ?

    Hi Mandy,

I have set you as owner for both businesses, now you can manage them the same way as your personal profile.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Ok Christian, here as requested is how to put Skype on your profile.

Firstly you obviously need to be signed up with Skype and download the application from the following website...

    http://www.skype.com

Then to add Skype to your profile you go to this page... http://www.skype.com/intl/en/share/buttons/ and follow the instructions. When it gives you the code at the end, use the 'Email HTML' code and not the 'Web HTML' code as the web code uses Javascript and does not work on here.

Copy the 'Email HTML' code and paste it into the 'about me' section of your profile where you want the button to appear.

Any problems after that I am afraid you will have to ask Andrey (sorry Andrey) as I do not know anything about HTML coding... the bits I do know I just pick up as i go along.

I have seen in some forums on the web that when you sign up you are given the option to add your Skype ID (and sometimes MSN, Yahoo, AOL etc) and this automatically puts it on your profile anyway, so maybe this could be a solution implemented on yourmarbella in the near future.

Hope this helps... I think I confused myself even!!!!!

    Regards
    Paul

    Re: Business profiles management

Andrey, If a user comes to yourmarbella as a guest, adn then attempts to set up a business profile, does the system now tell them that they have to register a personal account in order to set up the business profile? Or does it let them do it but not have the email functionality etc?

    Thanks

    Christian

    Christian,

Guests cannot register business profile, if they attempt it the system will display sign in dialog.
