Where do YOU watch live football?

    Hola,

One of the many great things about Marbella is the number of bars that show live Premier League, International and European Matches. Compared to the UK, the choice is fantastic.

Personally I like to watch midweek evening games at Portside in Puerto Banus: http://www.yourmarbella.com/Portside/default.aspx . The fact that Jacks American Restaurant deliver food direct to Portside is great, nothing better than a few Coronita's and some Buffalo Chicken Wings when watching a game!. Jacks can be found on YourMarbella here: http://www.yourmarbella.com/Portside/default.aspx .

On a Saturday afternoon, for me it has to be Linekers Bar Puerto Banus, sat inside with a bottle of Magners!. What more can I ask for, a massive choice of games and even a bookies if you fancy a flutter on Benitez to keep the same Liverpool team for two consecutive games or Arsenal to score less than three in a home game!. Linekers' YourMarbella profile can be found here: http://www.yourmarbella.com/Linekersbar/default.aspx

I look forward to tips from members on other places to watch football.

If anyone would like to organise a YourMarbella football and beer day / evening, don't hesitate to suggest it here!

    Cheers

Support your local team and pop along to watch Union Deportiva Marbella play surely ?

Great live football (if not always in Marbella's favour) and more importantly you get to learn how to properly swear in Spanish Yes

In Marbella I watch live TV footy in The Tavern, Calle Coral in The Old Town near Orange Square. It's a pub run by the most welcoming couple who have owned the bar for about 25 years. All live Sky football shown, plus others on different satellite systems, and all Malaga live matches virtually every week. 3 screens.

If you ever get fed up with watching football on TV and fancy actually getting to a real match, come along to Málaga who are top of the 2nd division looking good for a return to La Primera.

If anyone on here speaks to any bar owners or promoters, it would be ask them if they could post listings on here of which games they are showing on particular days. I get the odd email  from Linekers every now and again but it would be great if we could have a central place to check what games are on and where.....

After all, more people log on here than any other Marbella website :-)

Has anyone tried the new sports bar opposite the PYR Hotel in Puerto Banus?. I walked past the other day and it looks really nice inside with loads of big screens etc.
