    New Year in Marbella

Good evening this is my first time on the site and it is certainly a facility that I will be using again. We have a villa at Santa Clara outside Marbella and are coming over for New Year. We have never been over at this time of year before and wonder if anyone could advise on things to do? We will be "with kids" so unfortunately nothing too riotous is sought!!

    Thanks in anticipation.

    Hi Nick,

This year is my 4th New Years eve in Marbella and I can honestly say that it’s better than in the UK. Especially with being an hour ahead of the UK, you'll celebrate the Spanish new year @ 12; and then the english new year at 1am.

I unfortunately don’t know how to direct you with places to go because you have children – but people have said that Orange Square in Marbella town can be good.

How long are you staying for – because the real Spanish celebrations are the weekend after with Kings day.

    Morning Annalisa,

Thanks for the reply - we will be staying until 5th January - when exactly is Kings day.

Your comment re Orange Square is noted and we will wander up there for New Years eve itself. Thanks again for the reply.

    Nick

What is everyone else doing? I know Liquid Lounge, Pangaea Prive, Lonestar and Puente Romano are putting on special events...

Shame the old Pangaea in the port can't open for one-off events !

Hopefully next year we will be able to plan and host a YourMarbella.com members party, fingers crossed !

    Cheers

    Re: New Year in Marbella

    Hi Guys,

Don't forget we're organising a massive party at Battuta with a superb line-up of DJs and live percussion by WildChild. Check out the flyer below for all the details. We'll kick-off at 23:00 on the 31st and it will be a proper all-nighter. Be warned, this is an event for people who love house music... it's gonna be loud! Entrance is free and you'll find Battuta opposite the BP station in La Cala.

    Hope to see you there!

Does anyone know if any of the Piano Bars such as Magic Fingers or Old Joy's Pub put on special acts for New Years Eve? I used to love going to 'Marvellous', shame it has closed now......
