    Tapas Bars In Marbella

We always go to Taberna Del Pinxto when we go for tapas, either in the port or in Marbella town. Last time we were in Marbella town we tried to find somewhere different but couldn't find anywhere that really looked appealing. I have eaten a couple of times at the tapas restaurant at the Guadalpin Banus which was good, but I would like to find something more traditional.

Does anyone have any tips they would like to share ???

    Christian

I noticed a Tapas bar in the corner of Orange Square a couple of weeks ago, it is towards the top of the square. Has anyone tried it? If so, is it any good?

Have found a great one in the Old Town tucked away down one of those tiny streets that you assume has nothing down it. It's always full of Spanish, doesn't really get busy till about 9pm and they have a selection of about 50 good sized tapas that come free with any drink you order. A cheap night out can be had there if you don't mind sitting at a barrel and loud & smokey

I think it's called something like Tonilito, hard to describe where it is but if you turn up into the Old Town opposite where the carousel is in the park and then head towards and past the bigish cafe where they sell churros and chocolate and then head off to the right down some dodgy looking alley and look for a tiny place with some half barrels attached to the wall

By the sounds of it you will need to take a torch to find this place ! It's one thing getting there, but how do I find my way back after a few San Miguel's !!! :-)

Yeah it is good there..... Best to go after 8pm when they start bringing round the hot Pintxo's rather than having to order from the menu....

I love Santiago Tapas and La Venencia, right down el Pinxo. Last time in Santiago´s we had a really tasteful "berenjenas fritas con Miel" Fried aubergines with honey".

Also.... there is a place call Gorky in Marbella and Guadalmina where you can enjoy good wine with pinchos, tapas or raciones. There are may palces to have tapas in San Pedro....El comercio....soooo sooo cheapand gooood, la despensa........

    Hi Johlan78,

The places that you mention sound realy interesting, do you have any more directions or addresses so we can go and check them out? It would be great to un-earth some great tapas bars and list them on YourMarbella to give them some extra exposure....

    Cheers

    Hola Christian!!

Santiago Tapas is in Marbella in Avda del Mar, on the right hand side if you are facing to the see.

La Venencia: Are a few in Marbella, but the one I ment down el pinxo is my favourite.

Gorki: In Marbella is by the corner down Pasta Factory and the other one is in Guadalmina Commercial Center next to Tricky Ricky. My sugestion: try the spinach and goat cheese salad and curry  creps!!!!!! Lûv them!!!

El Comercio: In San Pedro in Calle Andalucia, don´t know the number but if you know where Bar Restaurante Alfredo is (what is very well know) you´ll find El Comercion on the opposite side of the road. Good totillas de patatas filled with salad, prawns, parma ham..........

Jajajaja, I just love tapas and wine!!!!!!!!

Another tapas place:Cool El Asador the Guadalmina

You get there the same type of tapas than in El Pinxo but....more fresh and better quality! It is also a vinacoteca so you can also order a good wine, champagne or cava with your tapa. It´s close on Sundays! all winter, on summer they just open at night!!!
