Is this a new club?  I've been to 'Mynt' in Miami many times, but I dont understand why they would hack the brand to pieces by calling it 'Mint' instead in Marbella.  Are you sure its the same people ?

Hopefully Mint is gonna do something different than the same old formula of Tribal and Electro house, Marbella needs some variety, especially a proper deep soulful house night. But I have been here 6 years now and not seen a really successful one yet, maybe I will have to try and organise one myself, lol.

yeah exactly, but believe me, Marbella bar and club owners aint the most responsive to this type of music, love Seven,put on a couple of parties in there a couple of years ago when it was called Siddharta, beautiful place, nice size and fairly central. Maybe we should put our heads together Christian and come up with something,

Well, this once again goes back to the debate about supporting local promoters, a discussion of which we had in this forum a few weeks ago. House-U (www.house-u.com) has been running deep soulful house nights for the last 9 months at various venues including Champagne Bar in Banús, Buddha del Sol in Marbella and Anki's Kitchen in Las Chapas. Support from the locals has been disappointing to say the least. Perhaps these nights could be more succesful if people actually bothered showing up? And why is it that people seem to be asking for something which already exists? Surely, it can't be because they didn't like what House-U put on, as probably few have actually been to one of their nights. As far as the actual music is concerned, you'll be pushed to find a DJ that can play soulful house any better than DC from House-U.

By all means Gary, put a night on... however, do bear in mind, if it doesn't have Hed Kandi smeared all over it, it will probably be tough going.

Anyway, I hope that FXS do well at Mint.
