    Help/tips needed

Some help or tips would be so much appreciated from those in the know.

I have been to Puerto Banus three times & really love the whole scene.

I want to come out for the summer for a few months to possibly work & live.

Has anyone got any tips on any decent jobs I could get I dont really want bar work.

How would find out about accomodation/ houseshare's available in Marbella?

    Re: Help/tips needed

    Hi,

I think www.surinenglish.com is good for finding accommodation. Other than that, the newspaper La Tribuna is very popular for accommodation and house-sharing but I am not sure if it is online...

As for jobs, what I did was scour the internet for the types of companies I would like to work in (in my case, I looked for law firms) and then contacted them directly. It helps if you can speak Spanish, obviously. I landed myself a really good job in a family-run law firm, got a TON of experience and was treated well, which is a rarity sometimes on the Costa!

If I think of any more tips I will let you know.

    Good luck, Aine

Thankyou Ani I appreciate your advice I currently work in Recruitment in England all the types of roles like that in Marbella I am finding you need to speak fluent Spanish which I dont I wish I had listened more at college lol. How long have you been living in Marbella? Would you recommend it to live? I will check out the site you mentioned thanks again.

    Re: Help/tips needed

    Hi again,

Yeah most places do require Spanish - although you always have the option of telesales, depends on whether you would like to do that or not, as this rarely requires Spanish. The only other thing I can suggest is to find English-speaking companies and see if they have any positions open. Hmm... I will have a think about it some more. Maybe PR?

I have lived here for almost four years now! Can't believe how time flies... yes I would recommend it. The only complaint I have is the way people come and go from here, which is frustrating when you find a good friend and then they have to leave! But the quality of life is high, and the winter is SO short. Thats probably the best thing!

If you have any other questions, let me know.

    Aine
