What Features Would You Like Us To Build Next?

Over the past few months, we have developed loads of new features such as flights, weather, etc. In the next few weeks, we will be launching what we can only describe as the 'Big' update to YourMarbella.com, which will benefit both our business and member community massively.

We intend to constantly develop and improve on the features that we have already built, but in addition, we would like to hear from our community about what you would like to see us add to YourMarbella. Some of you guys have found us recently whilst others have been around since we first launched and you have all played a massive part in helping YourMarbella evolve into what it is now, so, please tell us what you would like us to do, and we will do our best to make it happen for you!

    Hi Christian,

funnily I have found the weather and flights feature really useful...checked a few times to see if my friends and family landed safely or arrived on time.

Ok now I think you should have flight booking facility to make things even easier...I know I would use that!

Car hire, hotel bookings a MUST!

    Currency exchange rate?

Hi Comarni, Our team seems to be growing all the time ! The Founders of the site are Rich and Myself, and our team includes Lukas and Andrey and two more developers, John and Chris who aren't actually on here (I guess they may not have the time as they are busy building all our new features !).

    I hope you keep enjoying YourMarbella.com !

    Hi Rani,

Thanks for the suggestions. We are going to take a look at developing a booking engine soon. Also, I am looking into how to get a reliable currency conversion tool for the home page.

If anyone else has any ideas or suggestions, please post them here as we are keen to keep ten steps ahead of the game and maintain YourMarbella's position as the most interesting site on the Costa !

    Cheers

    Christian

Can you build something that would move everyone out the fast lane of the N340 to make my journeys between Cabopino and Marbella a little more pleasant at "rush hour" ?

Rush hour?? Mate, let me remind you of the M6/M25/M1/M60 road networks in the UK - Now THATS wat you call an enduring drive!!!  imagine all the people that have to do those journeys every day!!!  You must have lived in Marbella too long to remember those gruelling roads back in the UK!!

I hope I've made Cabopino-Marbella sound more appealing....

Re: What Features Would You Like Us To Build Next?

Hmm, not sure about a chat feature.  In my experience they usually turn out to be more trouble than they're worth - (Yahoo closed theirs in '05) They need constant moderation, policing (african bank account scams, cheap ipods etc).  I'd hate for one of our users to be scammed or experience problems with other people in a chat that we cannot moderate. They also require serious user liquidity to work properly, and bearing in mind despite the recent increased site activity we rarely get more than 8 members online at any one time, I just don't think it would work at this point.

We have got some really nice tools on the way though that will enhance the user experience so keep an eye out for these in the next few weeks.

Oh -  I like Rani's suggestion about integrating with hotels and flights etc.  I think there's definitely scope to do this and hope after our next big update we can focus on making arrangement with good local companies.

Re: What Features Would You Like Us To Build Next?

is it possible to build a feature where you hover the mouse over a pic of a member, and it shows a naked version of them? (only necessary for female members....)
