What do you love about Marbella?

    Filed under:

    Hi Everyone,

I thought I would start off the forum in this group by asking 'What do you love about Marbella?'. Most of you guys who use YourMarbella have lived somewhere else before and probably visited many places around the world, so what is it that makes Marbella so special for you? Is it the weather? the food? the golf?, Or simply the lifestyle?

I hope to hear from you,

    Cheers

    Christian

The weather, the nightlife, the food, the cars, the boats, the lifestyle.  Waking up with a smile on your face every morning, being the envy of your friends in the cold UK, jetskiing on the weekends, Sunday lunch at Marbella Club, swimming in your back yard, being a short flight from my UK office, the mix of European people, Ocean Club in the summer, Sierra Nevada in the winter, Gambas Pil Pil,  - I could go on, but I better get back to work!

I love the weather, the beautiful women, the lifestyle, the food, the beautiful women, the cars, the boats, the beautiful women, the cosmopolitan feel to the place, the shops, the beautiful women, the fantastic beaches, the beautiful women, the fact that a ten minute drive inland in any direction brings you into breathtaking scenery. Oh, did I mention the beautiful women?

    Hi All,

Again, may I commend you on the continued growth of "Your Marbella"!

What do I love about Marbella? Well, the most simplest of things make me "love" living here. I spent 7 years driving around the dark, gloomy, wet miserable M25 in England and one of the most fabulous things for me is driving down the coast road on a sunny day......"THE N340" I hear you cry..........! YES that dreadfull road that winds right along the coast, in certain places you almost get you're feet wet (around the lighthouse at El Faro for example). Next time you drive down that way.....Just remember cold, wet, grey roads that cover the UK and are often moving at 3 mph! Then you'll know why I LOVE MARBELLA!

    Hi to all,

    Jim.

LOL, watch out for travel writers jumping on this and referring to the N340 as the 'Pacific Coast Highway' of Europe (Or similar!)

I agree - before I came to Spain, I used to commute from Norwich to London every day. The M11 on a winter's evening is no fun!! Up until a couple of weeks ago I used to commute from Sotogrande to Benalmadena along the N340 every day - a totally different world.

Not to mention the thieving b*tard yellow vans that sit on the side of it ready to earn a few quid by clocking your speed. I really did used to get wound up with England, now I'm just thankful that I'm able to spend my time on this coast.

    Rich,

These Theiving B##tard yellow vans you mention are something I haven't had the privalege of meeting yet (maybe because I'm taking in the wonderful views at 85 kph....LOL). Do they have any markings? Are they Police?    I now need to look out for these bugger's and beware, otherwise I might not LOVE MARBELLA anymore!

     Regards JIM.

    Hey JIM

I'm referring to the ones that sit on the M11 from stansted to Norwich. Most of the time they're hidden so you don't see them until the last minute, and when you do it's too late, you're getting a fine!

Re: What do you love about Marbella?

If you think about it, there aren't that many places in Europe where you can go snowboarding on saturday and jetski on sunday. And on top of that you can spot real cars all the time, like Murcis, an Enzo, Pagani... And my favourite, have a beverage in the port, take a photo with your mobile, send it to Finland (or any other crappy weather country) and wait for the not so nice replies. Always makes the day ;)  As someone already said, the international atmosphere and the motivation rich environment. IMHO, Marbella is not Spain, but it's close enough to go and visit. Places like Cadiz, Granada, Tarifa...
