    Puerto Banus weekend 1st March

    Hi

I'm looking to get away for a couple of days from rainy Cornwall, UK and a friend of mine recommended Puerto Banus! it looks great from what i have seen on the net but i'm not sure if many restaurants/ bars and clubs will be open at this time of year. Can anyone give me advice?

    Thankyou

    Kev

    Hi Kevan,

Puerto Banus itself should still be pretty vibrant at the weekend. All of the main bars are open throughout the year, with Seven Nightclub being the current hot spot after around 1am.

The places that are currently closed will just be a lot of the beach clubs, but there are dozens of bars and clubs in Puerto Banus to keep you entertained. All the main restaurants in Puerto Banus remain open throughout the winter. Good one's include Tango, Amore E Fantasia, Aretusa and La Papardalle.

Don't be alarmed if you go out at around 9pm and 'The Port' as it is referred to seems dead. This is typical as the place doesn's seem to get going until the night gets later. If you head to Sinatra's Bar at around 10.30/11pm you will start to see it getting busier, then move along the front line of the port until 12/12.30 before sampling the delights of the second line venues such as Seven!.

If you want a more laid back and reserved, luxury night club affair, then you could try Suite at Puente Romano Hotel followed by a trip to Icon Club, also at Puente Romano Hotel.

All the venues I have mentioned are in our Bars and Nightclubs section here on YourMarbella.com.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers

Re: Puerto Banus weekend 1st March

    Hey Eva,

You'll be pleased to know that the good weather seems to have brought over a ton of people this last weekend so looks like the start of summer is definately on its way!

As its still early in the season the beach parties havent kicked off yet during the day but there are still plenty of shops and good restaurants open and some fantastic nightlife.

As Nikki Beach wont be open til April, Puerto Banus is definately a good place for a night out. Im not too sure what stuff you're in to so check out our business section http://www.yourmarbella.com/business/category/Bars_Night_Clubs.aspx which will give you all the info you need on the bars and clubs in the area. My recommendation would be to definately check out Seven!

Hope this helps. If you need anymore info just ask Smile

Hi Eva, Sorry for slow reply, I was away over the weekend and despite all the adverts about how great it is supposed to be, my iPhone just wouldn't open up the internet!!.

I notice Vicks has now replied to the post and has given you some ideas on where to go. I hope you have a great trip and that the weather stays good for you.

    Cheers

Re: Puerto Banus weekend 1st March

Excellent!! Are you moving out on your own? I moved out here last April with my boyfriend (Marbella_Rich) and havent looked back since so I'm pretty sure you're gonna love it. Looks like you've got everything already sorted too what with a job and a potential place to live from Christy .

Yeah I help out with the site where I can, behind the scenes though mainly.

If you wanna hook up for a drink when you get here let me know.

Hope it all goes well for you

Re: Puerto Banus weekend 1st March

Yeah keep in touch, always good to meet some new people. We'll probably end up bumping into each other anyway at some point during the summer, like you found out!

I dont live too far from the port, about a 10 min drive so it's quite a nice distance really.

Anyway not long to go for you now - and the weather here is gorgeous at the moment Cool

Re: Puerto Banus weekend 1st March

    Hi,

In terms of picking up work, yes it is very easy at this time of year, especially in the leisure, dining and nightlife sectors. If you check through the forums on here, there are threads by local recruitment agencies such as Wemploy.com listing jobs available.

Accomodation is also a lot easier than you think. YourMarbella members Evie and SarahJL found eachother looking for flatmates on YourMarbella as have many others in the past. If you are not looking to share then check our real estate sub category in our business directory and you will find a host of agencies listing rental properties available in the area.

    Good Luck!

    Christian
