No worries. :-) Let me know if there's anything else I can help with at this stage. If you're not sure about Puro, there's plenty of other venues that I can help you getting in touch with. Think the only problem I can see at the moment at Puro is the unpredictable weather. Should be OK in June, but you never know these days. I think they have a facility where they can put massive tents in, but that could possibly turn out to be an expensive option. Anyway, look forward to hearing how you get on.

Just to keep everyone up to date, TIBV contacted us today to say that their dates are quickly getting booked up now and if we want a Friday night then the best option available is the last Friday in May. Other than this they have Thursday's available.

Puro is a nice relaxing venue but my thoughts are that we have a mix of tourists and residents on this website of which most of the tourists stay in the Marbella / Puerto Banus area and our majority of our active resident members seem to live mostly Puerto Banus / Nueva Andalucia and east up to Mijas etc, rather than the other way down towards Gibraltar. I know that last Friday Plato 68 were still sending free buses up to Puerto Banus at 4.30 am to try to get the bar staff from the second line to head all the way down to Estepona to go clubbing.

I guess from a community point of view I want to make this event as accessible as possible to as many of our active members as possible and I am wondering; of those who would like to have a drink and party at this event, how many of you would pay 60 euro return in a taxi?.

The location doesn't have to be TIBV but I am thinking somewhere Marbella / Puerto Banus may be more central and it may also increase numbers.

If possible it would also be great to organise this event using a venue and services from business people who are active on Your Marbella.

Also, this event doesn't have to be a one-off, we could potentially try a day time event at a beach club and an evening event at a night club.

Very valid points... TIBV is a great venue and last Friday in May is good for us. Maybe we can try the daytime event in the summer when this weather sorts itself out. Last weekend was a good example of how a whole Saturday was a total wash-out and I can still see this happening in May and even June.

I think it would be better to have the party on a friday night as most members of the site who live in the area would have work the next day if it was held on a thursday. More chance of people not having to go to work on a saturday and they would be able to let their hair down a bit more and not have to watch the clock( or the booze, lol). Have to agree that TIBV would be a good venue, it has a completely different atmosphere from inside to out and would work well from the transition from early evening to night.
