Various rumours flying around but it seems that they went offline as they're moving offices and satellites and there has been issues with their financial backers funding

Re: livinginspain.tv sky 293...Where has it moved to?

There was quite a long thread on digitalspy where people were talking about what happened to this channel, but the page won't load now. I will try it again later and if it works I will post the info here.

I guess that once a TV channel disappears it is very difficult for it to regain the same level of viewer liquidity if it ever returns. I wish them luck if they do return though as I enjoyed watching some of their programmes.

I am not actually surprised if they have gone bust.

If they are actually still going good for them, but if they have actually closed down, then it would have been their own undoing.

I had cold call from them a couple of months ago asking if I wanted to buy advertising and i told them I would happily consider it and if they would kindly email me their media pack or rate card.

The lady on the phone sounded very nice so I told her if their rates were good enough then I would also consider sending it onto my portfolio of clients who are mostly successful real estate companies dotted around the costa del sol.

So I received an email 4 days later, which was one of your standard template emails which unbelievably started with "Estimado .." and then continued in English.

They did not even put my name aftr the Estmado bit, and they did not even say "Dear" or "hi".

I have thick skin and was not completely offended but to be honest it just seemed a bit impersonal, almost like a spam email.

Then, some of the links in the email did not work, the .exe file they sent in the zip file was corrupted and there were a few bad spelling mistakes in the body of the email

I emailed them back, politely explaining that I could not access the link and their ebook and also pointed out the spelling mistakes thinking that they would appreciate some feedback, but instead I received a shirty email from their Sales Manager.

I promptly wrote back and asked the Sales Manager if it was normal practice to send out such a rude email after I had taken the time to let them know that, I,  1) could not open the file they sent, 2) the link sending me to their page on their site gave me  404 error and 3) there were a couple of spelling mistakes.

I did not get a response from him however a few days later, the original cold caller contacted me to check if I had received the email with the media pack etc and asked me what I thought.

    What a gas!!

She was a nice lady so I was not rude but I basically told her that she should not contact me again due to her boss being an idiot with me.

Now I find out that they have possibly closed down.

I did not go to any fancy school. In fact I only finished primary school so my formal schooling finished when I was 12, but I have enough noggin to have built up a successful business on my own from absolutely nothing, zero, by working very hard, listening to clients and accepting positive criticism and not trying to act like a big fish in a small pond like so many of these companies we see open and then close shortly afterwards.

LOL ! They managed to stay open long enough to get a gong in the coveted 'Essential Magazine Awards' . Just looked at the run down on the winners of the awards in each category, found it quite surprising !.

    Did anyone on here vote?

Re: livinginspain.tv sky 293...Where has it moved to?

I did, personally thought it was a totally flawed system

You were forced to vote in every catagory even if you didn't know any of the businesses, therefore you tended to just select the top one to allow your "real" votes to be entered. I suspect that a lot of companies won an award purely based on voting apathy in that respect
