I bought mine off ebay from the UK, ie ebay.co.uk

They tend to charge a small fortune for them here as they are not officially in Spain yet (which to me is still bizarre seeing that the European Union is supposed to be one big state)

On ebay, only buy Iphones from those who have feedback in the thousands and no negative feedback.

I have to say, without a doubt, its the best phone I have ever owned. Once you get used to the finger swishing movement on the ipod screen, you will wonder why they still make phones with buttons and styluses, its flipping amazing!!!!

    Hi Craig,

Do you use yours through a Spanish tariff? I have a UK iPhone locked to o2 and it is not much use here!. Despite the fact I have free roaming calls the internet is £7.00 per MB.

I was thinking of potentialy trying to get it onto a Spanish sim....

    HI Christian,

I bought it unlocked and use it on vodafone Spain, but its unlocked for any network.

Every single person I have shown it to have simply said that they want one.

I wonder why its taking so long to be released in Spain?

Re: I'm after an Apple iPhone

I can unlock any iPhone using software unlock (no permanent "damage", meaning if need be you can restore it to original for return to o2)

Anyone interested send my a PM....

Re: I'm after an Apple iPhone

Just to let you know if you dont know already that I have heard that the second generation iphone (the 3G version) will be released in June. Not sure if that is just the States or in Europe too, havent had time to google that yet. So if anyone is thinking of buying one I guess the old iphone will be going cheap or you can hold out till the new 3g version is available.

If anyone has news on the 3G iphone i would be interested to hear... good or bad.

    Regards

Re: I'm after an Apple iPhone

Details on the 3G iPhone are still very sketchy, although Steve Jobs is expected to anounce it at the WWDC Keynote. Obviously it will be 3G but that is all that has been confirmed, it may have GPS, it may have a slightly better camera, although don't expect a 5MP. It will also be running the latest firmware - 2.0.0

The form is expected to be very slightly smaller, but deeper and more of a curve on the back rather than flat, it is also expected to be available with coloured plastic (MacBook style) in wither black or white.

As for availability over here, I have been told that Movistar will have it within the month, I expect it to be in the region of 400€ with a 18month or 2 yr contract.

Thats about it for now though....

Unlock it and use yoigo is the best option to go!!! if you wanna use both simcards (Yoigo for Data for instance and your O2 for Tel) than buy the Dualsimcard gadget of ebay and you can switch between sim on the GO...!!! unlock options give me a p.m Goodluck ;) HK

well nothing sketchy now!!! TELEFONICA is the worst Company i have ever dealt with in my whole life!!! they have NO "customer SERVICE" (they call it) what SO F**** ever (xcuse me french) i thought i saw it all...but they have really turned my vision around...!!! having 500 MILLION potential customers (Incl Latin America, Czech Republic and yes also O2 UK is TELEFONICA) and not 1 iPhone to be found even close to a movistar store... they had about 100 iPhones on GRAND opening of there (so called) superstore in Madrid. and if you go to a Movistar store? they look at you if you are telling a joke but they just didn't understand you...!!! but all you will ever get out of them or the customer service (ahum) is : we dont know when, where, what, and how much!!! we can only give you the (F*****) Pricelist :S like i need or asked for that... well the options mentioned before are partially true and not true! there allready was an update to the software. it has HSDPA 3,5G capabilities GPS Module etc etc... there are also some negative rumors that the screen is not of the quality that the first Gen had. but i think its also a pref kinda thing but like has been said before "its the most amazing tel/multimedia device i have ever had" (Untill Now) so good luck looking for it...at the moment the whole world (yes even in the states) "NO iPHONE" (all on ebay) those crazy americans huh ;) HK

Yeah, Telefonica in that respects really sucks. They have not really handled the iPhone situation well at all.

I dont know if its on purpose kind of like a marketing ploy, but to be honest I am glad I moved to vodafone many years ago.

I am with vodafone now and went just last week to get a new movistar line (because I need to test the route through to telefonicas sms network) and when asked which phone I wanted, I asked for an iPhone was told its not possible because there is a list of 80 peopl waiting for one. (despite the fact just behind the girly was a massive poster say "get the new 3g iphone here").

So, I said to them to let me have the line now because i need the line now and tell me when I can pick up my shiny new 3g iPhone.

"Oh no" she says, "thats not possible because you have to get the new line with the phone because we have to activate the line at the same time. If you want an iphone you would have to go on the waiting list and wait for a new line when the phone arrives and we cant tell you when that will be".

I think I will just buy a jailbroken one from ebay like I did last time because doing it the normal way just sucks.

    Yes it realy sucks!

The iphone is a pritty phone nothing more an nothing less, its nice peace of software equipment when your on the internet the screen is turning around and ***!

But to use a iphone for business socks, the battery is wack!, other smartphones or much smatter they change from one aplic to the other with apple it seems like it is to much, the camera is nothing you dont can take a picture in the dark, you dont can record video and manty many more stuff but it looks very good i had a iphone more than a year ago so i write from experiance!
