    Re: Jobs

Hi Amigo - I think the majority of work to be found for an English speaker will be related to tourism, whether its hotels, bar work, restaurants, that kinda thing...Unfortunately there dont seem to be all that many "career options" for a non-Spanish speaker...unless you go down the entrepenuer route of course...Im sure there are exceptions to the case - some of the big real estate companies take on English speakers to sell emerging markets...so they are always worth a try! Let me know if you need more info! In the mean time I would say download a linguaphone Spanish course or something similar so that you can start opening doors for yourself! :)

Try www.wemploy.com for Jobs in Spain or Work in Spain for Non Spanish Speakers.

Gibraltar is also just down the road and there are plenty of jobs in Gibraltar too!

    Good Luck!!

    Re: Jobs

    Depends!

If you work in any service industry such as being a mechanic, building trade, electrics, IT, property management, etc, etc then you can easily work just in English as there are companies purely targeting the ex-pat communities and everyone I know that works as such does very well. Doesn't mean it's the right thing to do but it's definitely an easy step into working in Spain that doesn't involve working in a bar or handing out flyers. There are a huge amount of companies down here that just speak English so although it's obviously an advantage to speak Spanish it doesn't mean you have to
