So, we now have everything in Marbella from international beach clubs like Nikki Beach, through to world famous club nights such as Hed Kandi and Sintillate holding nights at our clubs and even Lionel Ritchie playing at one of our hotels! .....

Is there anything more the people of Marbella want to see? If so, please post it here and maybe someone will pick up on it and make things happen.

It doesn't matter what genre you want to see, from art, through to sport and clubbing, just post away !

Whereas I might be inclined to go and check Lionel Ritchie out, it may not be as interesting to go and see Boney M (no offence), Barry Manilow's unknown cousin, Frank Sinatra Jr or some band no one has ever heard of but where the guitarist used to tune David Gilmour's guitar in the 1960s...

OK, that was perhaps way too harsh, but my point is: Marbella needs quality, not just hype or marketing. Everything is not valid. What I would like to see is something new, something innovative, exciting. Perhaps a festival that uses new and unusual venues, with a mixture of all arts and new trends. Different locations for different tastes.

Even The Coffee Bean....Its all over the US, not in the UK or Europe....I was in there a lot whilst in LA. I enquired but you need to control the whole of Spain and be willing to invest millions, if anyone is interested!

it wont happen anytime soon, had a discussion with someone last week very well connected to starbucks and owns a similar but bigger chain across China, he did look at it and it wont happen for a few reasons.  Shame as my girlfriend thought of it as venture for her.

We looked at a few franchise options back in 2003, we checked out KFC and Subway, but decided against it, then they began to open in 2004, oh well!. From my experience, there is no reason we couldn't get a Taco Bell in Marbella, the franchise programme is managed by the same company as KFC.

In terms of Starbucks, I was told that they don't actually franchise, and they own all their own stores, so unless they start to read YourMarbella.com and see you guys would like one to open, it's pretty unlikely to happen.

Didn't someone take on the Taco Bell franchise for London a few years ago, but it wasn't run very well and it closed really quickly? I love Taco Bell and would love to see one in Marbella, and every town in Europe! And a Wendy's, In N Out Burger, Cheesecake Factory, Carls Jr, Del Taco etc etc!
