    How are you learning Spanish?

I'm using a combination of Michel Thomas CDs, the BBC website and my girlfriend who speaks fluent Spanish

Have found Michel Thomas to be most useful

Re: How are you learning Spanish?

I have tried lessons at the institute of Cervantes in London and after a short break enrolled for private lessons at the Spanish language centre in Marbella and i took private lessons back in London which involved meeting up with a spanish senorita and having cafe con leche once a week.

I am told that the best way to learn is to get a Spanish girlfriend, so it looks like you are well on the way.I have failed in this task as my wife is Australian and speaks only the basic greetings etc and what she hears me say.

I go to spanish classes in La Cabana..in Nueva andalucia twice a week.  I am learning quite a lot but there is such alot of grammer to take in..i just wish I could learn it like a child. !! The good thing is the course is inexpensive...95 euros a year which is fantastic compared to some private schools .

    Hi Debbie

Is your spanish class in La Cabana near the card shop and the supermarket?  How many hours do you do? I would really like to start with conversational spanish, not sure I could cope with all the grammer .Do you have to do homework? The price sounds reasonable though....,

Re: How are you learning Spanish?

    Hi Jenny,

The classes are 1 hour and half on tuesday and thursday....and the classes are held in the arte centro on the same road as the Correos.

We don't have homework on a reular basis , i think because no one does it, but we do have it occasionally.  They do a conversational  class every friday at 1pm.

Hope this helps...if you need any more info, let me know !!

    Debbie
