    Parking in Marbella

    Filed under:

    Hi,

Admittedly I am a collector of parking tickets in the UK, however, I'm deserved of them because I do know my daytime-evening / single-yellow lines / parking bay - disabled bay rules etc..... in the UK.

In Spain, what are the rules? I know it's always safer to park in the car park.  But I'm sure that there is some street parking allowance. However, I also know that it's E150 to bail your car from the car pound once it's been towed....  Help!

    Thanks... annalisa.. ax

    Hi

In Marbella centre town almost impossible to get a space for the car. But you have few non expensive parking, about 1.50 @ hour
About tickets, ive got two of them for park in yellow lines, i paid 60€ each.

    Take care with your car

    regards

    Re: Parking in Marbella

The rules are really quite simple... if there's a solid yellow line, you can't park there.  If there are diagonal yellow lines on the road, then you can normally park there after 18:00, (and until 9:00) the exact times for that particular loading zone will be indicated.

Obviously, stay clear of anywhere that there is a blue/red no parking circle (e.g. garage doors, driveways, etc.

In Marbella, if you get in there before 9:00, there are tons of parking spaces on the streets, but come 9:10, you're probably going to end up circling the city for up to 40 minutes to find a space.

If you go to the municipal parking lot (up the hill from the Burger king IN town - not the one out near the Golden Mile) you can get a monthly parking pass for a full 12 hours (you chose the time) for only 75 Euro.  Or park there anytime you want for 120 Euro.

If you need to come into Marbella after 9:10.. I would strongly recommend this.... especially during the summer months!!!  After all, time IS money!!

    Happy parking!!!
