My friends and I are coming to Marbella for the weekend (25-28 april) for mates hen do and we have the friday night sorted in Puerto Banus but I would like a slightly more glam affair (though not toooo expensive!) in Marbella for the Saturday night.......

I've been looking at Puento Romano Hotel - mainly the suite club (realise 'del mar' not open till june)- how good is this during april?? If it is good then can anyone recomend a good restaurant beforehand?

Also Icon nightclub......any views on this? Aware that this is quite close to Puento Romano? Is it walking or taxi ride?

Our ages range from 25-45 and we all just want a good meal/drink and a dance ...:-)

I've looked at Olivias and Notte too...any views?

Hi Cazza,

Suite is probably one of the best clubs in Marbella and is always a great night out. The indoor parties still provide a unique atmosphere and is definately worth a look. Icon is literally right next door to the hotel too so no need for a cab  It's open til 7am so if after Suite you still have your dancing shoes on and want to party til the early hours this is the place to go.

The good thing about being around the Puente Romano Hotel is they have a good selection of really nice restaurants to go to beforehand. Take a look at Roberto Ristorante (Italian cuisine) or Restaurante La Plaza (Mediterranean and International cuisine)  -http://www.puenteromano.com/index2.phtml?l=en.

Regarding Olivias, as you mentioned you wanted something not too expensive i'd probably say give this a miss as the prices are not for the faint hearted!

Yes I can recommend Icon and like was said, it's ideal if you are staying at P Romano, also check www.marbellaoptions.com for special deals at some of the better hotels in Marbella , ie. Guadalpin etc.
