With the rise of the emo
culture and the crack popularity ( think Pete Doherty for example) ,
the runways are still flooded with super skinny jeans for men and
women. Trend setters, fashion forecasters, and designers agree that
this year, skinny jeans is still the trendiest especially for the male
species.

After the 1950s, drainpipes were primarily the domain of Rock n' Roll's
trendiest men - most notably, Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones in the
1960s. As fashion entered the 1970s, skinny jeans for men continued to
gain prominence. The birth of punk in the late 1970s saw many male
musical icons in Europe and the USA don skinny jeans as their fashion
uniform of choice. From The Ramones to The Clash, and The Stooges to
The Sex Pistols, skinny jeans became the emblem of punk heroes on both
sides of the Atlantic.
Today, skinny jeans have been resurrected by a range of fashion and
musical influences. In 2005, skinny jeans were a distinct feature in
the lines of many fashion designers, like Karl Lagerfield and Stella
McCartney, and the adoption of skinny jeans by male style icons, such
as Pete Doherty and
Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding, has firmly sealed
their presence in the modern fashion industry.
Now,
listen guys, SKINNY JEANS doesn't make you look GAY, ok?. On the contrary, it
will define your toned, long legs and will give emphasis to the size of
your manhood for the girls to have a glimpse of (god, am i really
saying this? I am betraying the codes of sisterhood here. lol).
So, be adventurous. Try on some skinny jeans today for that indie look and don't forget to match it with a slim shirt for an added touch of rock and roll extravaganza. Shoes? Converse high cuts or some pointed leather ones depending on the occassion.
For women, slim or skinny jeans still is the best if you want that perfect jean hug. If you still live with bell bottom pants, for the love of the gods, throw them away or give them to charity if you don't want to look like a you are stuck in the 7'0's playing ABBA or The Carpenters in your car stereo.
