The Royal Flush Alhaurin started life many years ago as a small Spanish wharehouse selling hardware products, before becoming a bar in the late 80's with a weekly locals disco, welcoming the odd tourist or two. A little over a year ago a professional Texas Hold' Em dealer from Austria spotted the potential of this first bar in the village ( or the last depending on your perspective) and decided to open a poker club. Werner sourced some gaming chips, had himself a poker table built and hosted his first poker tourney attracting a few of the local players from Alhaurin El Grande. Word quickly spread amongst the tightly knit poker community along the Costa Del Sol that “Whirling Werner”probably the fastest dealer in the west had resisted the temptation to open a club on the coast and had indeed opened one up inland instead! One of those poker players was “Jimmy the Ritz” aka “trip Kings Jim”. Jim had spent 5 years as a croupier and gaming inspector at some of London's finest casino's including 3 years at the Ritz Casino, some would say the best Casino in the world! On seeing the bar for the first time he too saw the potential of the Royal Flush and went ”all in”for a partnership with Werner. Now in 2008 Werner & Jim have transformed this bar into an air conditioned club with a growing membership that currently stands at around 120 poker players made up largely from the ex-pat English speaking communities from Northern Europe, notably Germany, Austria, Holland, Denmark, United Kingdom & Ireland and of course a few of the local Spanish players. The club now boasts seating for a maximum of 45 players on 3 tournament tables, 1 sit & go table and 1 Caribbean stud table. Our uniformed bi- lingual dealers have been taught in- house & are all “3 or 4 handed”that is to say they can deal Texas Hold 'em, Caribbean stud, Blackjack, and Omaha . Poker Holidays in Spain The Royal Flush Poker Club in Alhaurin El Grande welcomes English speaking poker players from all over Europe and beyond for weekend & mid week poker breaks. The Royal Flush Poker club is in Alhaurin El Grande just 15 minutes drive from Malaga International airport and just 5 minutes from two of the Costa Del Sol's finest golf courses, Lauro Golf course & Alhaurin Golf course should any of our visiting poker players want to combine a poker & golfing break? Our Poker package includes a 200 euro freezeout poker tournament that's spread over two days as well as sit & go's that run from midnight Thursday right through to Sunday morning. Poker players arriving Thursday evening will be met at Malaga airport by our tri-lingual speaking(German, Spanish & English) uniformed staff and transferred to your hotel . After our Poker players have had an evening meal and freshened up you will be collected and taken to the Royal Flush Poker Club in Alhaurin El Grande for a warm welcome and a cool glass of Spanish Cava. After registration the 200 euro freezeout Texas hold 'em poker tournament starts and the sit and go's a half hour later. Refreshments & snacks from our fully stocked bar will be available throughout the poker tournament and poker players will be served at the poker tables by our tri- lingual waitress. Throughout the duration of the poker tournament the Royal Flush Poker Club operate a courtesy shuttle service between the hotel and the Royal Flush Poker Club. Prior to your groups departure there will be a farewell reception & photo opportunity at your hotel where the tournament winner will receive his or her oversized cheque (and the cash of course) and each poker player will receive a Royal flush Poker club souvenir as a memento of their trip to The Costa Del Sol.
